Garden Room in Claydon, Suffolk

Our Claydon clients wanted a light-filled garden room that would feel like a natural extension of their home. With a busy family life, the brief was for a generous, flexible space that could adapt easily – somewhere to work, relax, entertain friends or simply enjoy a bit of extra breathing room away from the main house.

Lots of glazing helps connect the room back to the garden and makes it feel bright and open, while the size gives the family plenty of flexibility in how they use it. The shape of the garden also called for a different building profile to our usual designs, so we developed the form specifically to sit comfortably within the available space.

The finished room has become exactly the versatile family space they hoped for – welcoming, adaptable and already being enjoyed in lots of different ways.
